Service Level Warranty
CortexPro provides the highest security and
reliability. CortexPro is backed by a 99% uptime guarantee through
our service level agreement (SLA) — our promise to you that your
important projects will always be accessible through our site.
Payment terms
Each
month you pay for the sites and disk space (including overage)
you created and are using. You may shut down any or all of your
CortexPros at any time, or arrange for another payer to acquire them
from you, and merely pay the remaining charges on your next bill.
CortexPro reserves the right to change the monthly fees for
customers. In this event, customers are given notice and have the
opportunity to discontinue service. Full payment is due 30 days from
invoice date in US currency. Late charges of 1.5%, or the maximum
legal rate, may be applied to overdue payments.
Payment methods
Customers must choose a credit card to pay
their monthly bill. CortexPro accepts VISA, MasterCard, and American
Express. To avoid having to generate additional charges
during the service period, we recommend allocating your purchase
order for an amount equal to your expected usage, taking into
account the number of CortexPros you expect to create, the number of
members you expect to invite, and your anticipated disk usage.
Billing cycles
Each
CortexPro billing cycle lasts one month. Your first bill covers the
period from the day you create or acquire your first CortexPro
through the end of the current billing cycle. If such a period is
less than a full month, all charges that appear on your first bill
are pro-rated accordingly. This includes charges for CortexPro
usage, disk usage, and (for customers on the Department plan) the
minimum monthly fee. Subsequent changes of service (canceling or
adding CortexPros) are also billed in a pro-rated manner based on
the monthly cycle. The number of members and the amount of disk
usage for each site you are paying for are measured at the end
of each night. Credit cards are automatically charged on the last
day of the billing cycle.
Changing your pricing plan
To change plans, log in and
go to My Billing, then click "edit billing preferences." When
changing plans, you will be billed at the rate immediately, but in a
pro-rated fashion. For example, if you change plans on October 2nd
and the billing cycle ends on October 23rd, your October 23rd bill
will include charges from Sept. 24th through October 2nd at the
old rates, and charges from Oct. 3rd to Oct. 23rd at the
new rates.
Creating Sites
You can create new Sites at
any time. If you add an CortexPro in the middle of the billing
cycle, a pro-rated charge for it will appear on your next bill.
Monthly disk fees
Every sites includes a
designated amount of free disk space. If the disk space used for a
particular CortexPro at the end of each day exceeds its
free amount, CortexPro automatically bills your account for the
excess at the end of each month. Items left in the recycle bin
continue to count toward an CortexPro's disk space until they are
deleted from the bin or the bin is emptied.
Shutting down a site
When a site is shut down
it is deleted, making it unavailable for members to visit or use.
The site's payer is the only member with the authority to shut
it down. The payer bears the responsibility to continue paying for
an CortexPro until it is shut down or acquired by another payer,
even if no members happen to visit it. Caution: You cannot
recover a site once it has been deleted, so be sure that
there is nothing remaining in the site that you or your members
wish to save. Be sure to give ample notice to all members of
the site before shutting it down so they can retrieve any items
they want to save. When a site is shut down, a final, pro-rated
charge for that CortexPro appears on the payer's next bill.
